Island City Social District

The Island City Social District is available Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 10 pm as participating establishments are open.  

  • Alcoholic Drinks may be purchased from participating bars and restaurants and enjoyed Downtown Plainwell as shown in the map.
  • Purchase Your Beverage: Visit a permitted establishment in Downtown Plainwell to buy a beverage in an approved container and enjoy within the social district boundaries! Permitted Establishments - 10th Street Saloon & 1871 Taproom
  • Shop While you Sip: Identify participating retailers who welcome beverages inside by the Island City Social District sticker displayed in their front window or door.
  • Stay within the Designated Boundary: Finish your beverage and properly dispose of your container before leaving the social district boundary.

Social District Does Not Allow You To:

  • Bring your own alcohol.

  • Refill your cup or bring your own.

  • Assume every bar and restaurant participates.

  • Take alcohol into ANY licensed food establishment other than where purchased.
