Ransom District Library, the Plainwell Community Center, and City Parks are all important resources to Plainwell’s community, each contributing to the viability of the City of a variety of ways. Recreational land uses includes seven developed parks all of which offer a variety of recreational activities: Fannie Pell Park, Hicks Park, Thurll Cook Park, Sherwood Park, Kenyon Recreation Park/Softball Facility, the Riverwalk Park and Darrow Park.
