S. Main Street Resurfacing - Construction Notice

 

Project: Pavement resurfacing on S. Main
Location: South Main Street, between M-89 and Starr Road
Construction Window: September 02 – September 26
Contractor: Lakeland Asphalt

What to Expect

  • Traffic will remain open for the duration of the project. Please drive with caution through the work zone.

  • Access to homes and businesses will be maintained outside of immediate paving times.

  • Work times may vary based on construction needs and the contractor’s schedule.

  • Direct notifications: Affected residents and businesses will be contacted regarding any temporary access disturbances during paving operations.

Why Now?

  • The project scope presented to bidders allowed for work anytime between May and October.

  • Providing the largest possible window to perform the work helps lower the overall project cost by giving the contractor flexibility to sequence crews, equipment, and materials efficiently.

  • The specific dates within that window are set by the contractor’s schedule and operational considerations.

  • Lakeland Asphalt is the selected contractor for this resurfacing project.
