Mark your calendars for the Light Up the Night/Tree Lighting beginning on Friday, December 4 at 4 p.m.
This year Plainwell has stepped up to provide an evening of delight in celebrating the holiday season and traditional tree lighting to allow for social distancing and COVID Guidelines. We've created a combination of our Tree Lighting, Parade and Candy Cane hunt into one event. People will be able to stroll through our downtown, the Merry Mile, as if a parade were standing still; Christmas Cards in the park, pre-packaged sugar cookies will be handed out, candy canes will be placed on the tree and around downtown for the kids to find and our Mayor will light the tree at somepoint on Friday night. We have so many community organizations and our downtown merchants participating during the entire month to make it festive, flowing, and safe.
