City Hall Open with Restrictions
City of Plainwell / City Hall Open with Restrictions
The City of Plainwell appreciates the patience and understanding our community has extended to us throughout the past 10 weeks. With Governor Whitmer’s new executive order 2020-110 she has ended her Stay Home, Stay Safe order for Michigan residents and is allowing businesses to resume operations with some restrictions in place.
With limited restrictions in place, we are eager to provide the best possible service to our residents. When venturing out, please remember that precautions are necessary, such as wearing a mask, maintaining 6 feet of distance from others, and businesses reducing occupancy. The City of Plainwell hopes that all residents and visitors comply with the CDC’s recommendations so that we can all safely enjoy our Island City.
To exercise caution, we request residents continue to utilize the drop box, telephone, email and online services when possible. For services that must be made in person, please be aware that safety precautions and restrictions will be in effect for the foreseeable future. These restrictions include but are not limited to:
- Individuals medically able to tolerate wearing a mask will be required to do so.
- Meetings with staff will be by appointment only, please call ahead when possible.
- We ask that anyone feeling “under the weather” does not visit city buildings.
The City of Plainwell will continue to evaluate options for office operations and public meetings as additional information and further guidance is provided by the state.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience during this unprecedented time.
